By R4H | December 22, 2007
Today I attended a training program/conference in Jamnagar.
The topic was “The Physician’s guide on HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment”
The program was under Physicians Training Initiative (PTI) and The Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative, Inc. (CF)
The aim of the program was to provide basic and updated information regarding correct diagnosing techniques and treatment modalities of HIV/AIDS patients with particular reference on Antiretroviral therapy.
The program was due to the combined effort of national as well as international institutions, the list is as below:
- National AIDS Control Organization - NACO
- Indian Medical Association- IMA
- Department for International Development, UK
- The Resource Center on Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS - New Delhi
- Brown Medical School, Division of Infectious Diseases, USA.
The professors/lecturers were really with good skills and with lot of experience, and so the program was really interesting and informative.
Also the participants were awarded $5 for willfully participating the initiative.
